  • The Transplant Trekkers are a community of organ donors, recipients, transplant professionals, and supporters, and our mission is to familiarize the public with living donation by engaging them in custom virtual treks while educating and inspiring them along the way. In short, our goal is to put transplant on the map!

  • Virtual trekking allows participants from all over the country—or world!—to contribute their individual efforts at home to an online, digital trek to interesting locations and events. For Trek of Gratitude, participants post their personal progress as miles in a tracking app, My Virtual Mission (MVM). Gratitude Trek follows a virtual route for 8-weeks through the midwest, stopping and celebrating the research centers and transplant hospitals that contribute to the cause. Trek progress is visible using Google Earth on the My Virtual Mission app.

  • Transplant Trekkers is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about organ donation. We believe the more people we can reach with our message, the shorter the organ waitlist will become. Our hope is that people from all walks of life join us on our trek to learn, spread the word about organ donation, and have fun!

  • It’s easy! Sign up here—the trek gets underway October 1st. After signing up with us, you will be directed to click a link to register on My Virtual Mission. If you have previously created an account with MVM or Conqueror Challenges, you can just log in without creating a new account.

  • Trek of Gratitude costs only $10, payable to My Virtual Mission. This fee covers administrative and platform fees.

  • Along the trek, you receive virtual postcards, access to the Transplant Trekkers Facebook page to post pictures and tales of your trek, a real-life Google map view of where we are on the route, a map to track progress, and at the end, a virtual badge of completion!

  • My Virtual Mission is the fitness platform we partner with to run and track our trek. Transplant Trekkers designed Trek of Gratitude, the information you see, the route you take—but you post your miles on the My Virtual Missionfitness app or their website.

  • You can sign up for the trek and track your activities through the My Virtual Mission app available on Google Play or in the Apple store. You can also track via their website at myvirtualmission.com.
